The Law Library's rare book collection holds around 1000 titles and includes a particularly strong collection of early American territorial and state laws. The collection consists of American works printed before 1877, and early English and Continental European works printed before 1850. All items may be searched on IUCAT and are held at the ALF facility. Please contact us if you would like to view items from the collection or if you have any questions about the Law Library's rare books. Indiana University's Lilly Library has an extensive collection of legal and historical rare books.
