Electronic Study Aids

Print Study Aids

We have a number of study aids in print as well:

  • Nutshells and Hornbooks: Both Nutshells and Hornbooks offer explanations of broad legal subjects, including the topics covered in most law school courses. Nutshells are straightforward, quick reads, while Hornbooks offer a more in-depth explanation of these same subjects. Located on the shelves behind the Circulation Desk. Check out for 24 hours (renewable) during the semester and 4 hours during exams.
  • Examples & Explanations: This popular explanatory series is available for checkout from the Circulation Desk (24 hours during the semester, 4 hours during exams (renewable)). Covering most law school subjects.

Exam File

Maurer Law professors, at their discretion, will furnish us with copies of their old exams. These are available to be checked out in print and can also be accessed online (log in with your IU credentials). Online access is typically available midway through the semester. It is highly advisable that you not use this particular resource to study until closer to exam time.
