CALI Conference 2014: "Smooth Sailing": Intro

This guide accompanies a presentation given at the CALI Conference for Law School Computing, June 21, 2014.

Introduction

Law school is frought with high-concept lessons that can be hard to grasp.  With so many multi-factor court tests and multi-element crimes and torts to learn, it can be hard to see the forest through the trees.  One way to assist in learning retention is by adding visual aids to the traditional stand-and-deliver lecture.  While teaching with the assistance of visual aids comes with its own set of criticisms, this presentation reviews several popular approaches and discusses when each can be beneficial in legal education.
