This guide highlights library resources to facilitate study in the 1L curriculum.  Using the tabs across the top of this guide, you can explore the resources we have to help you study for each of your 1L courses.

For starters: Study Aids

No matter what subject you're studying, we likely have a study aid on the topic. We subscribe to a number of popular study aid series in print or electronic format.

  • Examples & Explanations - provides hypotheticals to test your skills on most common law school subjects
    • Available in print, for 24-hour loan (renewable) at the Circulation Desk
  • Nutshells - short, quick reads on an area of law; can be great for last-minute review
    • Available electronically through West Academic Study Aids (CAS authentication required)

    • Older editions available in the stacks for longer loan 
  • Hornbooks - larger, resembling case books; give you more in-depth explanation and analysis of an area of law

  • LexisNexis Q&A Series - great for practicing multiple choice questions
  • LexisNexis Mastering Series - easy-read explanatory e-books on most law school subjects
